It’s always convenient to pick up a small bag of granola at the store, but you can’t beat the cost and satisfaction of making your own.
This five-ingredient peanut butter granola could not be easier to make! And it’s easy to switch up the flavors. If you aren’t a fan of peanut butter, then you can swap out the peanut butter and peanuts for almond butter and almonds.

What You’ll Need to Make Peanut Butter Granola
I love the simplicity of this peanut butter granola and that it only uses five ingredients!
Ingredients
- Old-Fashioned Oats
- Peanuts
- Coconut Oil
- Creamy Peanut Butter
- Maple Syrup
Make Sure You Let Your Peanut Butter Granola Cool
This recipe is super straightforward and gets you those snack-able clusters so long as you do one important thing…
Allow the granola to cool before attempting to break it into pieces.
If you try to break it into pieces before it cools, it’s likely that the ingredients won’t cluster and you’ll have more singular oat pieces than not.
Tips to Enjoy Your Peanut Butter Granola
My favorite way to enjoy this peanut butter granola is with a bit of berry jam on top of yogurt. It’s the perfect slightly sweet breakfast or snack. Creamy yogurt is the perfect contrast to crunchy granola clusters.
Make sure you store your granola in a tightly sealed container or bag. This will make sure your peanut butter granola stays fresh and crunchy 🙂

Ingredients
- 3 c. Old-Fashioned Oats
- 1 c. Peanuts
- 1/4 c. Coconut Oil
- 1/4 c. Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1/2 c. Maple Syrup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a sheet tray with either parchment paper or a silicon baking mat.

- Add the maple syrup to the peanut butter and coconut oil mixture and stir until completely combined. Be sure to stir thoroughly otherwise the maple syrup will sink to the bottom.
- Pour the maple syrup, peanut butter, and coconut oil mixture into the medium sized mixing bowl with the oats and peanuts and stir together with a wooden spoon until the oats and peanuts are evenly coated.
- Evenly spread the granola mix onto the lined sheet tray and press flat with your wooden spoon.
